Who we are

RestoMate is a point-of-sale product operated by TotalBiz Systems (ACN 679 252 165), based in Australia-wide, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to TotalBiz Systems. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide our services:

• Enquiry details — your name, phone number, email address, venue suburb, venue type and anything you choose to tell us when you submit a form or message us on WhatsApp.
• Customer and business data — where you become a RestoMate customer, the data your venue enters into the system, including menu, sales, staff and your own customers' details.
• Technical data — standard web analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, collected only if analytics is enabled on this site.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, and we do not store payment card numbers — card payments are processed by your payment provider, not by us.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, arrange and conduct demonstrations, quote and deliver our services, provide support, and meet our legal and tax obligations. If you become a customer, we use your business data solely to operate the service for you.

We will only send you marketing communications where you have provided your details to us and have not opted out. Every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time by replying or contacting us directly.

Your data belongs to you

If you are a RestoMate customer, the data in your system — your menu, your sales history, your customer database — remains yours. We do not sell it, we do not share it with other venues, and we do not use it to market to your customers. You can request an export at any time, including if you decide to leave.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate — for example hosting, email and messaging providers — and only to the extent needed to deliver the service.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants or lawyers, where required.
• Government or law enforcement bodies, where we are required to do so by law.

Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Messaging us on WhatsApp

Our enquiry forms open WhatsApp with your details pre-filled, and you choose whether to send the message. WhatsApp is operated by a third party and its handling of your message is governed by its own privacy policy. If you'd prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can call or email us instead using the details below.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies necessary to function, plus analytics cookies where analytics is enabled, to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections, access controls and hosting with reputable providers. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

Complaints

If you believe we've mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
